Could be a motor tic: Or a compulsion, depending on which anxiety disorder(s) you have. Tell your psychiatrist about it, as you may need a change in your medication. Ask your psychologist about exposure-response prevention therapy if you have ocd. Multiple motor tics & 1 or > vocal tic for a year, without a tic-free period of 2 mos. Or > are signs of tourette syndrome, tho' females may not exhibit full-blown symptoms.
