Posterior tib tendon: If your ankle is tender medially, you likely have posterior tibialis tendonitis, more common in people with flatfeet, but can occur in young people who are active. It is uncommon to sprain the medial deltoid ligament. Usually ankle spains involve the lateral ligaments. Apply ice, elevate, rest, take an anti-inflammatory. If your symptoms do not resolve in 10-14 days, seek ortho or podiatry care
