How can someone have a high a1c result and normal glucose reading?

The A1C measures: your glucose continuously over the past 3 months. So one glucose reading can be normal but you are spiking above normal at times if your AIC is high. Think of the A!C as an average glucose overr the last 3 months. If it is high,you are having some abnormal sugars.

Blood Tests Results today.. CBC all normal except for MCH 31.2 High. I don't know that is should I be worried? Other items out of line were Glucose 115 H, T.Chol/HDL Ratio 3.7 L, A1c 6.2 H and VItamin D 25OH Total 29.8 L. The rest are all in normal.
Last August, my A1c was 6.0. Working with a dietitian, I have changed diet, exercise and lost weight. A1c is still 6.0. Began monitoring glucose and readings arent high. Could my A1c be a false reading of something other than high glucose?
