No need for alarm: This type of menstrual irregularity/spotting is common, and may become more so near the perimenopause. There is no emergency about it. The brownish discharge at the end of the regular period is very common and likely represents old blood in the genital tract which is passing. More concerning is the light pink spotting..was it after intercourse? I think you should see your Doctor to discuss.
