I have yr round allergies. why then when it rains does my nose stop up, and my sinuses bother me. wouldn't rain wash away what is in the air?

Not always: Paradoxically no- there is a concept called thunderstorm asthma. As the rain falls and interacts w pollen in the air. It can cause an increase in microscopic pieces of pollen that can exacerbate allergy problems.
