A member asked:

Should i be worried if i was recently rescued from drowning in the sea at a beach i passed out as we got to the sand now have breathing difficulties??

A doctor has provided 1 answer

I would not worry.: If you inhaled sea water, which is an irritant to the lining of the lungs and causes swelling of that lining, I would expect you to have breathing difficulties for a while. You should get better over time.
