My son was having a bath and got water up his nose then gasped and then cried and now it is bedtime and i am so worried can he get delayed drowning? what do i do? thanks worried mom?

It won't happen. The kids airway protection (the glottis) includes a valve that protects it from water entry. The reaction you witnessed was triggered by it doing what it does & startling baby in the process. It is good that it did its job. If it had not the kid would already be in trouble.

If he is breathing and acting normally, then he most likely is fine.
If you have a baby monitor, it can be used tonight. Watch for stridor, difficulty breathing and follow up with your M.D.
