I wear braces but suffered a little trauma to a front tooth due to a basketball game and it is now loose what to do ?

Which is loose?: Either the tooth is loose or the bracket. If it is the tooth, it will probably tighten back up without too much trouble. Due to the movement of braces they tend to be a little loose anyhow. Monitor for pain over the next six months. If it is just the bracket, go have your orthodontist glue it back on.

See your dentist: It was probably fortunate you had braces to somewhat protect the tooth however if you feel the tooth is loose you should have it checked by your regular dentist or orthodontist asap. An x-ray should be taken to evaluate any possible damage.

See dentist: See your dentist right away. If there is an issue with the braces, then your dentist would know whether you should see the orthodontist also. An x-ray should be taken.

See dentist ASAP: Get evaluated by your dentist asap, and get a baseline x-ray of the tooth... The effect of the trauma can resolve in a couple of weeks, but it is better to be safe and get a baseline assessment...
