Purple Vessel Foot: You have an enlarged vein (unless palpation causes a pulsing sensation) on the top of your foot. Are the cramps in your calf or thigh also (could indicate some obstruction)? Do you have full range of motion of your ankle and toes (would indicate some orthopedic condition)? Has there been any constriction above your foot from a tight shoe or sock? Does elevation of your foot reduce the swelling?
