Very likely benign: Whenever I hear about a pea-sized lump I am worried about an abnormal lymph node, but there are no worrisome lymph nodes in your thigh. In all likelihood this is a fluid-filled cyst, a fatty growth (lipoma), or a more fibrous growth called a dermatofibroma. All are benign; nothing needs to be done unless it grows or becomes discolored/painful, etc. VERY rarely, a cancerous tumor can begin this way
