More information: Dear JackG, unfortunately you gave us little information. Pain in the tip of the fingers could be many things like trauma/microtrauma/excessive use, vascular or neurological problems. Maybe you can report with more information, like your age, duration, change in finger appearance, change in sensation or strength and prior episodes. Do you smoke?
