Runny nose: Most runny noses are from cold viruses or allergies. Antibiotics don't usually help with this. Be cautious not to overuse nasal decongestant sprays like Afrin. Taking decongestants such as sudafed may help, but only use them for the short term, usually a few days only. A nasal steroid like Nasacort (triamcinolone) may help (bought over the counter).
