Injury: Where is the injury? If it's an ankle it could be sprained, and swelling and black and blue discoloration suggest a torn ligament. If increasing pain and continued swelling don't improve with rest, cold applications, elevation of leg and ace wrap, consult an orthopedic specialist.

Soft tissue, NOT bon: E. Soft tissue could be a sprain of a tendon or ligament or a muscle bot presumably NOT the bone (hard tissue). You can still have pain and swelling with either type of injury. Sorry about that!
