Do a follow up hCG: A level of 46 indicates very early pregnancy, most likely your OB will advise some serial levels every 48 hours or so for perhaps the next 2 or 3, and this should hopefully help determine how the pregnancy is doing. If the level rise looks appropriate, your OB will then determine when it may be optimum to do a pelvic ultrasound to determine the well being of the pregnancy. Best Wishes
