Infection.: This is most likely a bacterial infection. I'm guessing that you squeezed a pimple, which we discourage for exactly this reason. It could also have spread by itself, or you could have been stung by an insect. An infection spreading toward your eye is not something to ignore. See your doctor as soon as possible.
