Fever response: Yes -a fever can actually come from any kind of 'insult' or 'injury' to a person. Usually the 'insult' is an infection -but mild trauma and a host of other causes can cause fever. I used to make my medical students come up with a list of causes of fever -and I expected at least 20 things on the list! I would make sure the doctor checks the site where the arterial puncture was. Fever should go soon
