No: Broad based disc protrusions with effacement of the thecal sac or "pouch" that holds your spinal cord is a common finding on cervical MRI's. See your physician if you are concerned.

Chronicity: You have a localized chronic degenerative disc, protruding and narrowing spinal canal. Unless it were to compress the spinal cord, do not worry about paralysis, and handle this conservatively unless further deterioration.
