Discuss w/ team: Sometimes powerful drugs are life-saving but also cause distress. Work w/ Dr to manage as well as possible. Avoid salt to reduce water retention that may contribute to the headaches. Get general diet advice. Ask for best schedule for meds - it may help. Taper off ASAP. Try acupressure/puncture or massage or breath control techniques. A Health Psychologist may help.

You need to know: Migraine incidence in MS is 2-4 times the general population, and steroids can trigger migraines in susceptible folks. Use of opioids (morphine) seriously worsens migraines in the long run and should not be used. See the best approach via OTC meds, such as riboflavin, butterbur, feverfew, CoQ-10, and next time relapse, try Acthar HP, which may avoid the headaches.
