A member asked:

At what point should a person dealing with anxiety, consider medication?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

A personal decision : Medication might b suggested when anxiety is acute, or so impairing it affects your goals/life; anxiety that is non-responsive to behavioral treatment or other efforts. To help you decide for your self: To what degree is anxiety affecting you and your life? If a history of anxiety, what has been a barrier to medication before? What are your health goals and how might this help you get there?
