I did a salivary cortisol test (4 times of day), and the waking sample was low. i always feel fatigued in morning, sometimes deathly-fatigued. is this grounds for trip to endocrinologist?

Well....: cannot say in your particular case, but generally, this is what you look for in depression. A course of antidepressant would be one option.

Yes: While their is no clear indication of adrenal insufficiency, it will be necessary if indicated to do cosyntropin stimulation to rule it out especially if symptoms are subjective. Other causes could also be explored
