Plan b: Use over the counter Plan B if intercourse was within 72 hours to decrease the risk of unplanned pregnancy. Having intercourse around the time of ovulation increases the risk of pregnancy but often people do not know exactly when they ovulate. Consider starting birth control to avoid these scares.

You can: More than 50% of all pregnancies in the US are unplanned. It often occurs in young girls that have unprotected sex. It can be a life changing event.
