I seem to be more quick tempered and angered easily since stopping lexapro (escitalopram)?

Anger and Lexapro (escitalopram): Anger and increased irritability/mood swings is a symptom that can occur from stopping Lexapro, (escitalopram) especially if it was stopped suddenly without tapering off the medication. I would encourage you to make sure you let your prescribing provider know about these changes or discuss with another provider if you stopped suddenly or if symptoms are unmanageable. Be well.

Not fully surprising: Since Lexapro (escitalopram) is a very effective emotional agent, which does affect brain behavior, cessation might result in withdrawal symptoms. Contact physician and discuss possible resumption or use of another agent to ease this transition.
