Well: Shave biopsy is generally avoided in any skin spot that might be a melanoma. Generally shave biopsy is fine for other type skin cancers like basal cell carcinoma and squamous cell carcinoma the skin. You really need to call the doctor who did a biopsy to get specific diagnosis treatment or advice
