It depends on....: You may be at a higher risk for polyps than the average person where colonoscopy is advised at 50 years of age. For high risk it is advised at 40 years. But if you have any symptoms of blood loss or abdominal symptoms anytime, you should get your colon checked before you turn 40. If you want to be free of any anxiety, then do it sooner(now or during this year provided you can handle the expenses.
