A member asked:

I had the mirena (levonorgestrel) taken out april 12th and took a pregnancy test and it came out positive and negative (i took a few) am i pregnant?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Unlikely: Urine pregnancy tests become positive the earliest about 5 - 7 days after conception. If the Mirena (levonorgestrel) did its job, the negative preg test is likely the correct one. It may be prudent, though, to repeat the pregnancy test a week after removal of the IUD.
