How common is bowenoid papulosis?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

HPV: Bowenoid papulosis is caused by an infection with a virus from the human papilloma virus group. HPV is typically sexually transmitted. BP seems to more prevalent in the Asian population, although I could not find data on its prevalence. BP is a precancerous lesion of the skin, can heal off spontaneously, is susceptible to a number of treatment options, and in < 1 % of cases turns into cancer.
