A member asked:

Hi i have a blood count of 11.6. does this indicate leukemia? should i be worried? how high are white blood cells suppose to be in order to be conside

A doctor has provided 1 answer

See below: All laboratory results need to be interpreted in the clinical context and the doctor who ordered the tests is usually in the best position to do that. Having said that, your WBC count is just above normal and may be your normal. If you do not have any symptoms, do not worry about it. You may repeat the test at your next visit to your doctor.
