Blackheads: The black spots, are called comedones or blackheads and are clogged pores that are black from surface melanin. Washing 2 x a day or more if very oily skin and topical treatment benzoyl peroxide, Azelaic acid, salicylic acid, retinoids can help. Sometimes oral medication/ antibiotics is used.
