Depends: Strangulated is different than incarcerated. Incarcerated just means trapped. Strangulated means the trap is so tight it cut off blood supply and the tissue dies. If the tissue is fat, you may have pain etc, but survive for quite a while. If the tissue is intestine you will start vomiting, soon become septic and in a worst case could die within 24 hours if not treated.

Depends: From days to few weeks. The dead bowel will cause fecal peritonitis, sepsis shock and multiple organ failure with not a nice death... But why do you ask such a morbid question. If surgery is done in time and no resection of bowel is needed all can be well in days. A late intervention could require a colostomy with much longer recovery!

Probably 2-3 weeks: Several processes would occur: nausea, vomiting, dehydration. The strangulated tissue would die causing gangrene, infection, sepsis, fever, toxicity, chills, and sweats. As dehydration takes hold, then unconsciousness could ensue, further contributing to the progression of death due to the lack of ability to take fluids by mouth. Then, it's a matter of time for each organ system to fail.
