A member asked:

My doctor prescribed 50 mg trazodon. she said it would help me 'sleep, take away my foot cramps and even lift my mood'. does this make sense?

Trazodone for sleep: Dear Diane, Trazodone is an anti-depressant which is commonly used to help one sleep. Whether or not it will work for you depends on your body's response to the medication and I am unable to say if it will cure your symptoms. I have not heard of trazodone improving foot cramps. Meditation, relaxation exercises and natural teas such as chamomile can also help someone sleep.
