Acne: Acne in adult women is a matter of hormones, often birth control hormones. Pregnant? Any birth control? Menstrual periods? May need to change birth control. If not pregnant and not in kidney failure, treatment is oral SPIRONOLACTONE, usually 100mg a day. Very well tolerated, not expensive. If you look good in 3 months, continue it as long as needed. If this fails, isotretinoin will rescue you.
