MVP: Such mild prolapse of the mitral valve is common and should not impact your physical activities, although atrial irritability certainly may occur. You could have a treadmill exercise stress test to see if strenuous physical exertion precipitates significant cardiac rhythm disturbances. Passing such a test will give you peace of mind. I recommend echocardiography every year or two to monitor mvp
