Seborrhea: Seborrheic dermatitis is not curable but is easily managed by a variety of treatments, starting with common dandruff shampoo. An sntifungal may also be helpful. Hydrocortisone should not be the sole treatment.

Baby oil: Apply baby oil to scalp 1/2 hour prior to shampooing and then shampoo and rinse. The scales should loosen and then use a soft brush to brush out the scales. Doing this for a few days should help. A dandruff shampoo might also be used. If not improving, please see your doctor again. The hydrocortisone lotion should also help. If not better, consider seeing a dermatologist.
