Possibly: If there is pain in the calf without much physical exertion to worry about then, one thing to think of would be a blood clot or deep venous thrombosis (DVT). This would be especially true if the patient also has swelling, redness, tightness, and warmth to the touch. You should see someone right away if any of this is true...possibly even an ER.
