If timing of pulse: rate in head is consistent with pulse in carotid artery, then you are feeling a migraine (vascular) sensation. You did not mention pain. Perception of sensations which people cannot see & do not understand are commonly interpreted in quite distorted ways which often do not reflect what is actually happening. However, unable to judge or help much from this distance without more information & clues.
