Low back pain: Multiple causes which can be mechanical, musculoskeletal, neurological , referred from other parts of the body, such as an aortic aneurysm and even may indicate cancer. The causes can be very minor to very serious and such the pain should be investigated. You should seek the help of a physician if the pain persists.

Family practice : Back pain is usually from muscle pain or nerve pain from degenerative disk disease of your spine.

Depends: On severity and other related symtoms, timing etc. More commonly it is musculoskeletal.I.E local injury twisting, turning, fall etc. Based on your age if it persists, you should contact your m.D other are flu, viral prodromes.
