Go to a lawyer when : Sick! They should be able to help you. If a doctor cannot understand the language the patient is speaking it will be hard to deliver health care! Also, depending on the cultural group that the patient grew up in, different ideas are interpreted very differently and you have to be aware of them and take that into account. "hot diseases" and "cold diseases", etc. that is cultural awareness.

Curious laws: For starters, if a person presents for health care but speaks only an obscure language, the doctor has to pay for a translator to come in, translate documents, translate the conversation, and so forth. A physician must also learn to deal tactfully with obviously false beliefs about health that may even hurt people but are part of "culture". Forgive my frankness.
