A member asked:

I'm 36+4 preg. how can stress affect the remaining weeks of my pregnancy and the baby?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Don't dwell on it: Stress in pregnancy can eventually lead to diminished birth weight & a baby that may be a bit more jumpy in the first weeks, but the long term effect is minimal. All pregnancies face easier & harder days at some point & few go without periods of stress. If you dwell on it you won't be as prepared for your new addition. Lots to think about rather than obsessing over things you can't change.
