A member asked:

If95%of people are infected with mono, why some show symptoms and some don't? also, there is a small chance of getting lymphoma and ms. who gets it?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Not known: Genetics determine, to a large part as who gets disease from Epstein Barr virus and who does not. MS is not proven to be due to EBV. For good health - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, low fat milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form. Practice safe sex.
