Yes: Based on all of the information you have provided, the answer remains yes; lisinopril is actually an excellent choice for hypertension in a patient with kidney disease. There are some conditions where you would not want to use the drug, but they are not common or likely: -renal artery stenosis (determined by kidney ultrasound) -acute kidney failure

Lisinopril: Lisinopril is a good choice to manage hypertension and help preserve kidney function, especially if there is protein in the urine. Need to monitor potassium and kidney function (creatinine). Avoid if potassium high or suspected renal artery stenosis (narrow artery to solitary kidney).
