For how long you hav: Aches and pains occur quite commonly just before a virus infection causes you the typical symptoms of a head cold or Flu, such as sore throat, running nose and sneezing. If your aches and pains persist more than 2-3 days without having symptoms of a 'cold', then you should go to see your doctor for a medical check up.
