Asthma: Exercise induced ashtma can do this. Also pulmonary fibrosis. Go see pulmonologist for evaluation.

Shortness of breath : Your question can't be answered as written. The possibilities are quite broad. Heart disease remains a possibility, as do a large number of lung conditions and blood disorders. It could even be normal depending upon the level of exertion, etc... It sounds like you have enough of a concern and previous history that you should see your family physician as soon as possible.

ATELECTASIS: If you have collapse lung base and sinus tachycardia or palpitation, you will have problem breathing when running due to hbp, cardio- pulmonary problems.
