Hi. i have a lump on the right toe joint. it's on top of the joint, should i get it checked out? it appeared suddenly, but i don't have any pain or problems concerning it. also, what can it be?

If you in-CYST.: Suddenly appearing lumps, especially soft ones appearing on a joint , are usually cysts. Initially, they may not be painful or present any problems. If they get larger, their size may begin to affect the joints normal motion. If a nerve gets involved, there may be numbness or even pain. Give it a reasonable time to see if it gets bigger. If concerned, then have it evaluated.
