A member asked:

My 16 year old recently had 2 mri's done. one with and one without contrast. his results came back saying "3mm t2 hyperintensity in left cerebellum.

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Chronic lesion: The description is of an old persistent lesion, of nonspecific etiology. Since this could be merely coincidental and unrelated to the symptoms prompting the MRI, there maybe no concern. But would definitely discuss the finding with your doctors
