Weaning safely: Fioricet--butalbital (barbiturate, acetaminophen, caffeine). 15 Fioricet contain potentially toxic dose of acetaminophen – not good. Barbiturate will sedate/relax you – similar to Xanax (alprazolam). Taking both together potentially dangerous. I would immediately drop from 15 to 12 tablets then one tablet every three – five days, minimize potential problems/increased anxiety/activation of latent seizure focus.
