Dangerous combo: Concomitant use of benzodiazepines such as Xanax (alprazolam) and narcotics is dangerous. Even worse is adding sleeping pill to mix. Think of this as equivalent to playing Russian roulette. It's not if you get hurt, it's a matter of when you get hurt. Read/watch news about rampant narcotic over use & overdose. Docs don't want to be last one prescribing. Other less dangerous meds for anxiety.
