IntestinalMetaplasia: 29 year old gentleman with question about intestinal metaplasia in his stomach. Studies find intestinal metaplasia up to 25% of patients after upper GI endoscopy. It is the extent of the metaplasia and the pathological grade that is of value to the prognosis and potential to be a precancerous lesion. Studies are mixed as to whether H. Pylori eradication can reverse it. Follow w/Gastroenterologist
