Likely contact: Localized skin issues are often due to things that contact that space.I suppose you are right handed & touch that side of your face with contaminated fingers or you lay on that side to sleep.Unwashed fingers can carry a variety of plant/animal/dirt/chemical material to the site.You could also have a variant of a cold sore erupt as a similar event. An exam might help sort it out. It is not hormonal
