Eczema: The involvement at the crease of the elbows (& knees) points to eczema which is an allergic condition. Aside from food allergens, airborne allergens can trigger the problem as well. If this is the case, regular use of moisturizer immediately after bathing is a must. Topical cortisone is often needed. See allergist if problem persists or worsens.

Hives: Most likely an allergic skin reaction to something you may have come into contact with.You can try over the counter antihistamines and if they do not resolves, see your doctor

Hives: Or urticaria can be allergic - if food related should be present consistently shortly after eating the food. Can also be physical/enviromental or due to infection, or could have some other skin condition. Best to have a doctor examination here to make the right diagnosis. May need tests if not clear. Can recommend several excellent GPs in Whangarei if you dont have one.
