A member asked:

Will a ct of the abdomen and pelvis show imaging of the hips, specifically, if there is something compressing a nerve in the hips?

An Abd/pelvis CT: likely includes at least partial visualization of the hips, and could potentially detect some abnormalities in that region. However, since the exam was not specifically tailored to look at the hips, and moreover CT is not usually the study of choice to evaluate the hips(MRI is), I wouldn't rely on a pelvic CT to rule out hip abnormalities.
